Manuela Paví

Paví named in Colombia's squad for 2025 Copa América Femenina

West Ham United women’s team winger Manuela Paví has been called up to Colombia’s squad for their 2025 Copa América Femenina campaign.

The 24-year-old, who made 26 appearances for the Hammers in her debut season in Claret and Blue last term, lit up the Barclays Women's Super League in 2024/25 but will now join up with Ángelo Marsiglia’s side ahead of the tournament in Ecuador, which gets underway on Saturday 12 July.

In the tenth edition of the competition, 2010, 2014 and 2022 runners-up Colombia have been placed in Group B alongside eight-time winners Brazil, Paraguay, Venezuela and Bolivia.

Their tournament will commence at Estadio Gonzalo Pozo Ripalda, in Quito, against Venezuela (Thursday 17 July, kick-off 1am BST), before facing Paraguay (Sunday 20 July, 1am BST) and Bolivia (Tuesday 22 July, 10pm BST) in the same venue. Paví’s side will then conclude their Group B campaign against Brazil (Saturday 26 July, 1am BST) at Complejo Independiente del Valle in Quito.

Meanwhile, Group A consists of hosts Ecuador, 2006 winners Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Peru, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the semi-finals before the showpiece on Saturday 2 August.

Paví, who netted three times for the Irons in a record-breaking campaign for the women's team last term, has 30 caps for Colombia after making her international debut in November 2019.

Everyone at West Ham United would like to congratulate Paví on her call-up and wish her
every success at this summer’s Copa América Femenina.
