Oona Siren and Eva Nyström

Internationals | Siren and Nyström in Finland squad

West Ham United women’s team’s Oona Siren and Eva Nyström have both been named in Finland’s squad for their friendlies during the November international window.

The Hammers duo have once again been called up to Marko Saloranta’s side, and will look to bounce back from their UEFA Women’s Nations League promotion/relegation play-off defeat to Denmark in October, as Finland remained in League B.

Siren and Nyström, who have made eleven and seven appearances respectively in all competitions for the Irons this season, will first go up against Austria at Estadio Municipal Antonio Gallardo in Cadiz, Spain, on Thursday 27 November, with kick-off at 6pm GMT.

Helmarit will then take on Amber Tysiak’s Belgium at Estadio El Palmar, also in Spain, on Monday 1 December at 6pm GMT.

Both our No4 and No13 made their major tournament debuts with Finland in the summer, as they started every Group A fixture for their country at UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 in Switzerland.

Finland were cruelly denied a place in the quarter-finals of the competition, as they were knocked out following a late goal from the host nation in the final round of group-stage fixtures.
