West Ham United women’s team winger Leila Wandeler has been called up to Switzerland’s squad for their pair of friendlies during the November international window.
This is the 19-year-old’s second senior international call-up since she represented her country at UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, before she joined the Hammers in August from top-division French side OL Lyonnes.
After facing off against fellow east Londoner Shelina Zadorsky and her Canada side during the October international break, Wandeler will now take on Amber Tysiak’s Belgium at Estadio Municipal de Chapín, in Spain, on Friday 28 November, with kick-off at 6pm GMT.
At the same venue, on Tuesday 2 December, Switzerland will then play Wales at 11am GMT, in what will be their final match of the calendar year.
Our No27, whose Switzerland debut came in June 2025, made three appearances at the Euros in the summer and contributed an assist in a Group A victory over Iceland.
Wandeler has made eight appearances in all competitions in Claret and Blue this term, scoring a screamer in our 5-1 rout over Charlton Athletic in the Subway® Women's League Cup in September.
