Five West Ham United women’s team loanees were in action for their respective temporary clubs over the weekend…
Goalkeeper Rebekah Dowsett kept a clean sheet as Watford put nine unanswered goals past visiting Chesham United in Group J of the FA Women's National League Cup on Sunday.
The shot-stopper enjoyed watching her side sweep aside their opponents, scoring four in the first half and five in the second to remain at the summit of the standings.
Watford have six points to their name after two games, followed closely by QPR, who have also won both of their matches, but the Hornets boast a superior goal difference. Both Charlton Athletic and Chesham are without a point.
Midfielder Soraya Walsh was not in Watford’s matchday squad on Sunday, but will look to be involved when the Hornets return to Women’s National League Southern Premier Division action on Sunday, at home to Cheltenham Town.
Meanwhile, Ruby Warwick completed her first 90 minutes for Barking, who secured a late 1-0 victory on Sunday at home to Ashford Town in the South East Regional Women's Premier Division.
Substitute Eleanor Landen came up with the goods with five minutes of normal time remaining to record the home side’s second league victory from three matches.
The Blues travel to Sutton United on Sunday, hoping to continue their strong run of form.

Elsewhere, in the Barclays Women’s Super League 2, Keira Flannery’s Charlton Athletic debut ended in success as the Addicks clinched a 1-0 victory at home to London rivals Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Flannery, who joined Charlton on a season-long loan on deadline day, replaced Mia Ross at the break and ten minutes later, the hosts took the lead through Emma Bissell.
Charlton were reduced to ten players in the 89th minute when Katie Bradley saw red, but they held on to claim an opening-day victory against Palace, who were relegated from the top flight last season.
Flannery will be eying her first start for the Addicks away at Durham on Sunday.
Also featuring on the opening day of the BWSL2 season was Jessie Stapleton, who completed a full 90 minutes on her Nottingham Forest debut at home to Newcastle United on Sunday. However, the visitors spoiled the party at the City Ground, claiming a 2-1 victory.
First-half goals from Emily Murphy and Molly Pike gave Newcastle a two-goal lead at half-time. Former Hammer Kirsty Smith halved the deficit six minutes after the restart, but Forest couldn’t find an equaliser in their first-ever second-tier match.
The Tricky Trees will travel to fellow newly-promoted side Ipswich Town on Sunday, looking to chalk up their first victory of the season.
Elsewhere in the division, Camila Sáez made her Bristol City debut away at Birmingham City on Sunday, as she came on as a 77th-minute substitute at St Andrew's Stadium.
But the damage was done when the Chile international entered proceedings, with her side 5-1 down, and that’s how the contest ended.
