West Ham United Women announce player departures

West Ham United Women can confirm the players that will be departing the Club when their contracts expire at the end of the month.

Grace Fisk, Lucy Parker, Brooke Cairns and Sophie Hillyerd will all be moving on when their deals conclude.

Kate Longhurst will also leave the Hammers after five seasons, as announced at the end of May before our final fixture of the season against Tottenham Hotspur.

Longhurst played her 130th and final match for West Ham United in the 2-2 draw with Spurs on the final day of the 2022/23 Barclays Women’s Super League season.

In addition, Amalie Thestrup's loan deal with the Club comes to an end at the end of the month. The Denmark forward made eleven appearances in total having joined the Club in January from PSV Eindhoven.

Fisk will depart east London after three-and-a-half seasons with the Club. The 25-year-old defender joined West Ham in December 2019 and made 84 appearances in total for the Hammers, which puts her third in the all-time appearance records, behind only Longhurst and former Captain Gilly Flaherty.

Parker will also leave the Club when her contract expires at the end of this month. The defender has made 40 appearances since joining the Hammers in the summer of 2021.

Both Fisk and Parker were offered new contracts by the Club, but they have decided to embark on new chapters in their careers and we wish them well.

Hillyerd made three WSL appearances for the Hammers having spent the season as understudy to goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold.

Cairns featured three times for West Ham United over the course of her two-year stay in east London.

Everyone at West Ham United would like to thank Kate, Amalie, Grace, Lucy, Sophie and Brooke for the time they have spent with the Club. We thank them for the roles that they have played in the Club’s journey, and we wish them every success for the future.
