Training Gallery | Women's team show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

West Ham United women's team are once again supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout October.

The campaign continues to shine a light on breast cancer, which remains the most common cancer in the UK. With around 55,000 women receiving a diagnosis each year, raising awareness and encouraging regular self-checks is more important than ever.

Supported by Breast Cancer Now, the Club will be highlighting the charity’s vital work on Sunday, with players and staff helping to raise awareness of the importance of early detection and ongoing research.

To mark the occasion, the women’s first-team squad wore bespoke pink warm-up shirts, featuring the pink ribbon, in training this week. The players will also wear the t-shirts during their warm-up ahead of Sunday’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixture against Aston Villa at Chigwell Construction Stadium.

Sunday’s Official Matchday Programme has also been given a pink makeover, with the front cover featuring the NHS-approved guidance ‘Touch, Look, Check’ - a reminder of the simple steps we can all take to help detect breast cancer early.

Supporters can view a gallery of images captured in the training session, as Rehanne Skinner’s side show their support for this important cause.
