West Ham United women's team recorded our first victory of the Barclays Women's Super League season with a 3-1 success at home to Everton on Sunday.

The Hammers were on fire on a chilly afternoon at Chigwell Construction Stadium and deservedly took a two-goal lead into half-time after defenders Anouk Denton and Amber Tysiak found the net.

Shekiera Martinez, with her fourth goal in her last three matches, then got on the scoresheet nine minutes after the restart, to ensure Katja Snoeijs' 88th-minute goal was only a consolation.
