Matchday Gallery | West Ham hit three past Everton

A magnificent performance from West Ham United women’s team against Everton on Sunday earned us our first Barclays Women’s Super League victory of the season, as we ran out 3-1 winners at Chigwell Construction Stadium.

After a dominant first-half performance, Rehanne Skinner’s side went into the break with the upper hand thanks to goals from defenders Anouk Denton and Amber Tysiak, before Shekiera Martinez put the game beyond any doubt nine minutes after the restart, with her fourth goal in three matches, even though Katja Snoeijs netted a consolation with two minutes of the 90 remaining.

In truth, it could have been more than three in east London, with Verena Hanshaw, recalled to the starting XI, hitting the post twice in the second half as we continued to create opportunities, but the Hammers saw out the victory.
