West Ham United women’s team defender Shelina Zadorsky wrapped up the international break with another victory for Canada, as her side beat Haiti 3-1 in a friendly in Montreal.
Having also featured and scored in Canada’s 4-1 win over the same opposition in Winnipeg just days earlier, Zadorsky helped her team continue their strong run of form. Canada have now lost just one of their last 18 matches over the past 12 months.
A brace from AS Roma forward Evelyne Viens, either side of a goal from Holly Ward, secured Canada’s fifth win in their last six internationals. Haiti’s goal came from the penalty spot courtesy of Melchie Dumornay, the 21-year-old who led the French top division this season for goals and assists for champions OL Lyonnes.

Already capped 111 times, Zadorsky will look to add to her international tally when Canada return to action later this month. They host Costa Rica on 28 June before heading to Washington DC to face the USA on 3 July.
Elsewhere, young midfielder Halle Houssein - who spent the second half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Beylerbeyi in her home country - was an unused substitute as Türkiye defeated Greece 1-0 in UEFA Nations League Group B2 on Tuesday night.
The result sees them finish third in the group, meaning they will next face a League B/C relegation play-off in October. They will discover their opponents on Friday 6 June.
