Internationals | Gorry in Australia squad for New Zealand friendlies

West Ham United women’s team captain Katrina Gorry has been called up to Australia’s squad for their pair of friendlies against New Zealand during the upcoming international break.

Our skipper, who has started every Barclays Women’s Super League fixture this season, is part of Joe Montemurro’s 24-player squad for their fixtures against the Football Ferns.

The Matildas will first host New Zealand at Polytech Stadium in Gosford on Friday 28 November (kick-off 8.30am GMT) before welcoming them to Adelaide on Tuesday 2 December at Coopers Stadium (kick-off 9.30am GMT).

The games will act as good preparation ahead of Australia’s 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup campaign, which they will host in March. Montemurro’s side have been drawn in Group A against Iran, South Korea and the Philippines.

Gorry was last in action with her country during the October international break when she started friendlies against Wales and England, playing 76 minutes against the former in a 2-1 success at Cardiff City Stadium.
