Copa América Femenina 2025 is just days away - the third summer international tournament to have West Ham United women’s team representation.
Ecuador will host the tenth edition of the competition, commencing on Saturday 12 July at Estadio Banco Guayaquil, Quito, and running until the showpiece at Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado on Saturday 2 August.
Brazil have proved to be the side to beat for eight of the previous nine Copa América Femenina tournaments, with Argentina the only other nation to clinch the coveted trophy in 2006.
There are ten countries from South America competing in this year’s competition. Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Peru have been drawn in Group A, while Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, Venezuela and Bolivia will be in Group B. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals.
The final-four clashes will take place on Tuesday 29 July and Wednesday 30 July ahead of the final in the capital, Quito.
Here is everything you need to know about those swapping Claret and Blue for their country’s colours at Copa América Femenina 2025.

Who has been called up?
Camila Sáez is off to Ecuador, as she has been called up to Chile’s Copa América Femenina squad.
Having made her debut for La Roja Femenina in March 2011 at 17 years old, Sáez has represented Chile at three Copa América Femenina tournaments, with her first coming in 2014.
Building on her maiden campaign, the 30-year-old netted two goals at the 2018 edition of the competition as Chile finished runners-up for the second time, which subsequently helped them qualify for their first-ever FIFA Women’s World Cup a year later.
After moving to West Ham United last summer, in February 2025, Sáez received her 100th Chile cap, becoming only the third woman to achieve that feat.
This time around, Chile have been drawn in Group A alongside Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay and Peru.
Chile’s campaign will get underway at Complejo Independiente del Valle, in Quito, against Peru (Saturday 12 July, kick-off 10pm BST) - a venue in which they will also face Argentina (Saturday 19 July, 1am BST) and Ecuador (Tuesday 22 July, 1am BST) before taking on Uruguay at Estadio Gonzalo Pozo Ripalda (Friday 25 July, 1am BST).
That means Sáez could face Hammers team-mate Manuela Paví in the semi-finals should Chile and Colombia progress out of the group stages.

Winger Paví, who, like Sáez, moved to east London last summer, has gone on to earn 30 appearances for her country after making her debut in November 2019.
Injury ended her chances of making Colombia’s 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, meaning her first appearance at a tournament with the first-team came at the inaugural CONCACAF Women’s Gold Cup in 2024.
It was a successful tournament for our No11, who duly netted twice in Las Chicas Superpoderosas’ opening match against Panama before being named in the squad for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
After netting three goals across all competitions in Claret and Blue last term, Paví will now turn her attention to facing Brazil, Paraguay, Venezuela and Bolivia in Group B.
Their tournament will commence at Estadio Gonzalo Pozo Ripalda, in Quito, against Venezuela (Thursday 17 July, 1am BST), before facing Paraguay (Sunday 20 July, 1am BST) and Bolivia (Tuesday 22 July, 10pm BST) in the same venue. Paví’s side will then conclude their Group B campaign against Brazil (Saturday 26 July, 1am BST) at Complejo Independiente del Valle in Quito.
Colombia have finished runners-up on three occasions at the Copa América Femenina after losing the finals in 2010, 2014 and 2022.
Where can I watch the games?
For viewers in the United States, every group-stage game will be broadcast on Fox Sports, but Copa América Femenina will not be shown for viewers inside the United Kingdom. On whufc.com, we will be keeping you up to date with how our West Ham United players get on!
