Sam Barrott has been confirmed as the referee for West Ham United’s trip to face Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday.

The 30-year-old took charge of his first Premier League match back in October, officiating the game between Fulham and Sheffield United at Craven Cottage. Barrott has since refereed Nottingham Forest’s draw with Luton Town, AFC Bournemouth’s home victory against Burnley and Everton’s 3-2 away win at Crystal Palace.

Barrott has previously worked at a Hammers match this season, serving as fourth official at London Stadium for West Ham’s Carabao Cup fourth round win over Arsenal earlier this month.

He was promoted to the National List of Referees at the end of the 2019/20 season, and took charge of the 2022 FA Vase Final between Littlehampton Town and Newport Pagnell Town.

Barrott will be assisted on Saturday at Turf Moor by Marc Perry and Steve Meredith.

Perry has been a Premier League assistant referee since the 2013/14 campaign and has worked nine matches in the top flight this campaign. He also ran the line in the 2021/22 EFL Championship final at Wembley Stadium, where Nottingham Forest beat Huddersfield Town, and the 2020 Community Shield between Arsenal and Liverpool.

Meredith, meanwhile, has worked as an assistant at seven Premier League games so far this season, having first worked in the English top tier in the 2021/22 campaign. He was the assistant Video Assistant Referee for West Ham’s 2-1 win at Luton Town in early September.

Fourth Official duties will be undertaken by Matt Donohue. Donohue has worked across the EFL this season, taking charge of ten Championship matches, and has also served as the fourth official in three other Premier League games this campaign.

Craig Pawson will oversee Video Assistant Referee duties. The 44-year-old has been a Premier League official since 2013 and has served as the fourth official at three other West Ham United matches so far this campaign.
