Lucas Paquetá and Fred Bruno link up in east London

Brazilian YouTuber, presenter and influencer Fred Bruno made the trip to London Stadium for West Ham United’s Premier League match against AFC Bournemouth before catching up with Lucas Paquetá!

The famous presenter, who has close to 12 million followers on Instagram and is best known for his work on the Desimpedidos YouTube channel, headed to east London to shine a spotlight on English football for Brazilian supporters.

The 34-year-old was welcomed to the ground and posed for photos before enjoying the action as the Hammers fought back to claim a 1-1 draw with the Cherries.

As part of the over-62,000 in attendance at London Stadium, Fred got a first-hand feel for a Premier League atmosphere.

“It’s amazing to be here,” he told whufc.com. “This is an amazing stadium and I can feel the history that has been built over the last few seasons. It’s really exciting to be here and to watch a game.

“I’m from Brazil and I think the supporters are really similar in Brazil and England. Both have so much love for the sport. Our football fans are super crazy and I know English fans are really passionate too. To get the chance to experience that is amazing and it’s great to get to know the West Ham way.”

Fred’s time with the Irons continued at the first-team training ground at Rush Green a day later when he linked up with Brazilian international Paquetá.

The duo spent time together on the training pitches and, having been so impressed with how Paquetá has performed in the English game, Fred relished the opportunity to work with the playmaker.

He continued: “Lucas Paquetá has been playing really well. I think he’s an amazing player and a different player. We have so much support for him and Brazil fans think he has found a great fit at West Ham.

“He has been playing well for the team and we’re so happy with Paquetá’s performances at West Ham. It’s great to see him getting goals, assists, and bringing out the dances!

“We know the Premier League is the most famous and best league in the world. It’s an honour to watch a lot of Brazilians playing over here.”

While this trip to England is not the first time Fred has been to London, it does mark the first time the presenter has been able to bring his son with him.

Enjoying the sights, attractions and experiences with his child has made visiting the capital – and West Ham United – even more special.

“It’s been wonderful visiting London,” he added. “I’ve got to different clubs, met players, watched games, and also tried some different restaurants. I’ve even been to some pubs with my family and friends.

“We’re enjoying it a lot. For me, it’s my fifth time in London so I think I’m almost a London guy now.

“I’ve got my son with me too, and it’s his first time in London. He’s two years old and he loves football. We’re going to get him a West Ham shirt.”
