Internationals | Paquetá in Brazil squad for November friendlies

West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paquetá has been included in Brazil’s 26-man squad for friendlies against Senegal and Tunisia later this month.

Our No10 has been in impressive form so far in 2025/26, following up a run of three goals in three matches for the Hammers in August by netting the equaliser against Newcastle United on Sunday, to inspire an eventual 3-1 win.

Paquetá has also stood out for his country in the first half of this season, scoring his 12th senior international goal in a 3-0 win over Chile in September to help put the seal on Brazil’s qualification for next summer’s FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA.

After featuring in friendlies against South Korea and Japan in October, he will now look to add to his tally of 59 caps as the five-time world champions contest two exhibition matches in Europe.

First up is a short trip to Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium for a clash against a Senegal team that could feature Irons defender El Hadji Malick Diouf. Brazil are set to base themselves at Arsenal’s training ground in London Colney, ahead of the game at 4pm GMT on Saturday 15 November.

Following that fixture, Carlo Ancelotti and his side will cross the channel to France, where they are set to go up against Tunisia at 7.30pm GMT on Tuesday 18 November, at Lille’s Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
