Lucas Paquetá has been recalled to the Brazil squad for two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers to be played in early September.
The West Ham United midfielder has been selected by recently appointed manager Carlo Ancelotti for the first time for ties against Chile and Bolivia.
Brazil will host Chile at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday 4 September at 9.30pm local time (Friday 5 September at 1.30am BST), before travelling to the Municipal Stadium in El Alto to tackle Bolivia on Tuesday 9 September at 8.30pm local time (Wednesday 10 September at 1.30am BST).
Brazil have secured qualification but will want to finish the CONMEBOL South American phase on a positive note after winning just seven and losing five of their 16 qualifiers.
Paquetá has appeared in five of those 16 matches, starting wins over Ecuador and Chile and draws with Venezuela and Uruguay.
In total, the 27-year-old has 55 caps and eleven goals to his name since debuting in a friendly international win over the United States in September 2018.
He was part of the Brazil squad that won the Copa América in 2019 and reached the final in 2021, and also appeared at the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar.
Brazil have won the World Cup a record five times, but not since 2002.
