West Ham United women’s team midfielder Halle Houssein has been called up by Türkiye for their UEFA Women’s Nations League play-off with Kosovo during the October international break.
The 20-year-old lifelong Hammer, who signed her first professional contract with the Club in the summer of 2023, was called up by Necla Güngör Kırağası in May for her country's final round of Group B2 fixtures, as Turkey finished third in the standings.
They will now face Kosovo, who finished second in Group C6, in a promotion/relegation play-off.
The teams will first meet at Pristina City Stadium in Kosovo on Friday 24 October at 4pm BST, before the second leg at 5pm GMT on Tuesday 28 October at Göztepe Gürsel Aksel Stadı.
After spending the second half of last season on loan at Turkish club Beylerbeyi, Houssein has made one appearance this term, which came from the start against Charlton Athletic in the Subway® Women's League Cup. Our No33 registered two assists that evening at The Valley, as the Irons soared to a 5-1 success.
