Following Premier League Mornings Live in Kansas City, West Ham United were delighted to host a fan event at Café Corazón in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri.
Café Corazón, is Kansas City’s first Latin and Indigenous coffee shop led by CEO Dulcinea Herrera. Dulcinea's husband, Christian Anderaos, player for the Kansas City Comets who represented the Hammers at this summer’s The Soccer Tournament (TST) in North Carolina, helped create a connection, blending culture, football, and community into one powerful synergy.
It was a packed house in downtown Kansas City, as Hammers fans from near and far joined club legend Matt Jarvis for an afternoon which emphasised the passion for West Ham United in the USA. Some fans travelled for hundreds of miles to spend time with the former winger and meet with the fellow Hammers.
Saturday's defeat by Crystal Palace did not dampen spirits too much, as fans were treated to the signature and limited-edition drinks made especially to commemorate the event, which included the signature Hammer Time cocktail and Bubbles and Cream coffee. Additionally, Jarvis shared stories from his time at the Club, in an engaging Q&A with fans.
There were also plenty of giveaways, including scarves and one young Hammer winning a one of a kind signed Matt Jarvis EAFC card created especially at Premier League Mornings Live. A West Ham quiz also saw one lucky fan walk away with a signed 2025/26 home shirt, while another secured a signed glove from goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański.
A DJ was on hand to keep the party going, with classic tracks and several renditions of Bubbles reverberating around a venue which played the perfect host to the West Ham family. There was extra cause to raise a Hammer Time cocktail as the Kansas City Hammers received Official Supporters’ Club (OSC) status.
A smiling Jarvis said: “I was taken aback by the incredible turnout at the event; some fans had travelled eight hours to be with us which highlights the passion and dedication of our fans here in the USA. They wake up at crazy hours to cheer us on, so it was brilliant to be able to spend time with them throughout the day at Premier League Mornings Live and our fan event.
“It’s testament to the Clubs continued engagement in the USA that we have 53 fan groups in North America alone and I know that number is only going to continue to grow in the months ahead. It makes me incredibly proud to be associated with the Club when I have the opportunity to attend events like this and meet so many supporters with their stories on how they came to love the Club. It’s been a brilliant weekend and I’m already excited to get back to the States to meet more fans in the future!”
A delighted Café Corazón CEO Herrera added: “It was an incredible honor to collaborate with West Ham United through Café Corazón. To bring together football, culture, and community in such a meaningful way reminded me why we do this work - to create connections that celebrate heritage, family, and friendship on and off the field.”
