Fantasy Premier League | Gameweek 7 Hints and Tips

The Premier League concludes for the October international break with a mouthwatering clash as West Ham United face Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The fixture will mark Nuno Espírito Santo’s second top-flight game in charge of the Hammers, following Monday’s encouraging performance and point at Everton, and the 51-year-old will hope to register a first win in Claret and Blue against the Gunners.

Jarrod Bowen, who became the first visiting player to score a Premier League goal at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium, scored his 50th Premier League goal last time out in north London, when his header just before half-time secured back-to-back wins at the Emirates for the first time since 2007.

All that, coupled with the momentum built following a strong second-half performance on Merseyside against Everton, means we head to the home of Mikel Arteta’s title-chasing Arsenal filled with confidence and looking to register a statement win.

Admittedly, it might take something of a leap of faith to pick multiple Hammers in your starting XI this weekend, but there are potentially precious FPL points up for grabs for managers who make the correct choices.

The Gameweek 7 transfer deadline is set for 6.30pm on Friday 3 October ahead of a mouth-watering feast of weekend action.

While we will be giving you FPL tips and tricks throughout the remainder of the 2025/26 season on whufc.com, see below for some of our picks for the upcoming round.

Bowen impossible to ignore

Captain Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) became the first visiting player to score a Premier League goal at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday, with the forward’s well-taken effort helping our No20 pick up a nine-point haul for the third time in his last four Premier League matches, having also found the back of the net against Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.

Crysencio Summerville

Summerville and Diouf to build attacks down the left

Crysencio Summerville (£5.5m), who was voted Player of the Match against Everton, and El Hadji Malick Diouf’s (£4.4m) link-up down the left-hand side was sensational to watch on Merseyside.

The young Dutchman was unlucky not to score on Monday, having seen a flick brilliantly saved by Jordan Pickford moments before Bowen’s leveller at Hill Dickinson Stadium, while Diouf remains one of our favourite differentials.

Our No12 has already registered three assists this season, and was unfortunate not to officially register another after crossing the ball for Bowen’s equaliser, but thankfully for his owners, he was rewarded the points in Fantasy.

Freddie Potts

Magassa and Potts to continue to impress

Our GW6 line-up saw some young players rack up impressive performances in midfield, with Soungoutou Magassa (£5.0m) and Freddie Potts (£4.4m) pulling the strings on Merseyside.

Magassa made his first start against the Toffees since joining from AS Monaco in August, having featured as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace at home, and racked up a number of eye-catching statistics, including 88% pass accuracy, 2/3 accurate long balls, four of his eight ground duels won, 100% dribble success and 43 touches of the ball.

Potts, meanwhile, was summoned from the bench as Magassa’s replacement on 59 minutes and likewise impressed in midfield, as the 22-year-old Academy of Football graduate’s name was chanted by the 3,000-strong away support.

He recorded 83% pass accuracy, 2/3 ground duels won, 2/3 aerial duels won, made two tackles and two clearances, while more impressively, he managed to tackle Everton’s in-form forward Jack Grealish more than anyone else despite only featuring for 31 minutes.

Elsewhere, Lucas Paquetá (£5.9m) collected the two available defensive contribution points against the Toffees, and that strengthens his appeal for FPL managers, having already found the net on three occasions in all competitions.
