Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 27 hints and tips

West Ham United travel north to take on Everton this Saturday, looking to build on an impressive 4-2 triumph over Brentford last time out and continue their chase for European qualification.

Having previously endured a six-game winless run in the Premier League, the Hammers took a big step towards a return to their best form against the Bees, with Jarrod Bowen netting a first career hat-trick and Emerson notching a long-range stunner.

An away clash at Goodison Park never promises an easy ride though, and David Moyes’ men will be wary of the threats posed by a side who have been defeated just once in six games, and who edged the reverse fixture 1-0 back in October.

With so much to play for, both sides will be full of individuals looking to provide the touch of magic required to make the difference on the day, meaning there are a number of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) decisions to be made in the lead up to kick-off.

The Gameweek 27 transfer deadline is set for 1.30pm on Saturday 2 March, ahead of a mouth-watering feast of action that stretches across Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

While we will be giving you FPL tips and tricks throughout the remainder of the 2023/24 season on whufc.com, see below for some of our picks for the upcoming round…

Paquetá back and firing!

All inside London Stadium were delighted to welcome Lucas Paquetá (£6.0m) back to the fold against Brentford on Monday, with the Brazil international completing 76 minutes on his first appearance since 7 January.

Having now completely recovered from a calf injury, the 26-year-old will be looking to build on the two FPL points he picked up in the clash with the Bees up on Merseyside, and once again link up with full-back Emerson (£4.4m) down the left.

Emerson and Jarrod Bowen

Italy international Emerson was lauded for an imperious showing against Brentford, with his aforementioned strike helping to contribute to 12 FPL points - the most he has accrued in a single fixture this term.

And it wouldn’t be right not to mention hat-trick hero Bowen (£7.7m), who emphatically ended a run of five games without a goal in the most recent outing, taking his season tally to 14 in the league and 17 in all competitions.

Opposition Watch: Everton

Those in Claret and Blue will be hoping that Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford (£4.6m) will be in for a busy afternoon when Moyes’ charges arrive in town, though the 29-year-old has proved to be a star FPL performer so far this season.

With a game-leading 97 points between the sticks, and priced cheaper than the next three stoppers in the standings, the England No1 has already been selected by 12.1 per cent of all FPL teams.

Jordan Pickford

Just ahead of Pickford in defence, Young Lion Jarrad Branthwaite (£4.2m) could prove to be a shrewd addition to any team.

The 21-year-old has scored two Premier League goals in the current campaign, both of them in his last four games, against Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion. His 76 points so far place him comfortably in the top 20 for defenders.
