West Ham United would like to thank all Season Ticket Holders who have already completed the concessionary ticket age verification process.
We know it’s the summer holidays and appreciate the time supporters have taken to ensure their ticketing details are up to date. Your support plays a vital role in helping us protect the integrity of the concessionary system, ensuring that discounted tickets related to age go to those who are genuinely eligible and that our matchdays remain accessible to supporters of all ages and backgrounds.
The club has worked in conjunction with GBG, specialists in digital identity verification. Their secured technology supports verification for concessionary priced tickets, whilst following all GDPR procedures to ensure supporter data is safe.
All age concessionary Season Ticket Holders have received an email from our trusted partner, GBG Verification. The verification email has come from the following address: [email protected].
If you’re able to complete the process in the next seven days, we’d really appreciate it so there are no delays to the issuance of your Season Ticket. If you’re away, need more time, or prefer not to use the digital option, we can support you in doing that. Just let us know by contacting the Ticket Office.
The team are available to contact via phone on 0333 030 1966, or email to [email protected], from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday and on home matchdays until 15 minutes after kick-off.
We know that some supporters are less comfortable with digital platforms or may need support accessing the necessary documentation, so we are happy to take a case-by-case approach and help each supporter in the way that works best for them.
The Club has also listened carefully to feedback from our Fan Advisory Board (FAB), who raised some important questions on behalf of the wider fanbase about the rollout and timing of this process.
We acknowledge the FAB's feedback that proposals such at this could be brought to them with a greater time frame for consideration and apologise that didn't happen on this occasion. We’re grateful to the FAB for their engagement and commitment to constructive dialogue. As a result of those discussions with the FAB, we’ve:
- Removed the fixed deadline for verification to ensure no supporter feels rushed or concerned. Whilst we recommend supporters complete the process within seven days, the Club will work with supporters on a case-by-case basis to verify the eligibility for concessionary discounts moving forward
- Added additional FAQs on Hammers Help following questions raised to us
- Clarified the additional support options. The concessionary holder (i.e. under-18, under-21 or over-66) should attend in person and ensure you bring a current valid passport for any country, current biometric residence permit for the UK, current full or provisional photo card driving licence from the UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands or a birth certificate from the UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands (this is issued within 12 months of birth). Under-18s should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
By completing this simple verification process, supporters are helping us make sure that these tickets go to the people they’re intended for. If you need any help completing verification, please take a look at the FAQs here, or if you are still unable to find what you need, contact the Ticket Office and a member of our team will be happy to assist you.
