On This Day: Irons claim 3-1 win over Fulham in 2009

Take a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Basset & Gold.

Goals from David di Michele, Carlton Cole and Mark Noble were enough to secure a 3-1 victory over Fulham on this day in 2009.

The Irons took the lead thanks to the Italian's sixth-minute finish, but Fulham were able to level as former Hammer Paul Konchesky bulleted home an effort from distance.

Noble was able to restore West Ham's advantage from the penalty spot, while Cole netted his fifth goal in five matches to secure the result.

The win put Gianfranco Zola's West Ham up to eighth in the Premier League, and you can relive that game in the video player above!
