Our daily look at the West Ham United stories making the news...

This morning's Daily Star carries a couple of transfer rumours concerning the Hammers, adding a couple of names to the apparent wishlist.

One of those mentioned is Poland international striker Lukasz Teodorczyk, who notched 20 goals for Anderlecht in the Belgian top flight last term.

Teodorczyk is also said to be interesting Liverpool, West Brom and Sunderland in this piece.

The other rumour surrounds Santiago Arias, the Colombian defender with PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands.

Arias, 25, has spent four years at Eindhoven and is believed to be on the radar of Swansea, Everton and Tottenham.

Away from transfer speculation, Hammers Academy product Michael Carrick celebrated his glittering career with a testimonial at Old Trafford yesterday and his former youth boss at the Boleyn Ground, Tony Carr, had high praise for the 35-year-old Manchester United man in the Mirror.

Carr said: “There was never a doubt for me that Michael would make it as a player. He loved what the club was about and the way they looked after him. And the way we wanted him to play, that was important. He just kept developing.”
