Jelavic moves to China

West Ham United can confirm that Nikica Jelavic has joined China League One club Beijing Renhe on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.

The Croatia international forward spent five-and-a-half months with the Hammers, scoring two goals in 14 appearances, including an Emirates FA Cup third-round winner against Wolverhampton Wanderers in January.

The 30-year-old’s move to the Far East ends a six-year spell in English football that also saw him turn out for Everton and Hull City.

West Ham United would like to thank Nikica for his hard work during his time at the Boleyn Ground and wish him all the best for his future career.
