Away kit makes Malta debut

West Ham United’s 2015/16 away kit is to make its competitive bow in Malta this evening
West Ham United’s 2015/16 away kit is to make its competitive bow in Malta this evening when the Hammers take on Birkirkara in the return leg of the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round.

Based on the original claret and blue shirt worn by the Hammers between 1901 and 1903, the historic kit is set for its very first outing at the Ta' Qali National Stadium.

The away kit features a sky blue body, with a claret band across the chest and is completed by sky blue shorts with a claret trim, alongside sky blue socks with a claret hoop.

The shirt again pays homage to the momentous final season by including the ‘Boleyn Ground 1904-2016’ sign-off underneath the club crest as well as on the back neck area.

Alongside the Boleyn Kit 2015/16, which is inspired by the first ever shirt worn at the historic ground, the kits for the new campaign will pay a fitting tribute as the Club prepares to bid farewell to its home since 1904.
