West Ham United Ladies went down to a 3-1 FA Women's Premier League South defeat by Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.
The Hammers fell behind four minutes before half-time at Ware FC, when Bianca Baptiste put the home side in front.
Spurs doubled their lead ten minutes after the break through Andra Marcoci before Kelley Blanchflower gave West Ham hope with nine minutes remaining.
However, it was the hosts who scored the game's final goal with five minutes to go, leaving the Hammers with nothing to show for their efforts.
West Ham now sit ninth in the eleven-team table ahead of Sunday's trip to Lewes, who they will leapfrog should they secure a fifth league victory of the season.
Meanwhile, the Ladies are seeking to embark on a new era by appointing an experienced first-team manager to take the club forward. Steve Spencer and Director of Football Julia Setford have been in caretaker charge since previous boss Mark Saunderson departed a month ago.
Now, the Hammers are looking to appoint an ambitious new manager on a permanent basis to take control of the FA Women's Premier League South club.
A statement issued by the Ladies said: "West Ham United Ladies are looking for an experienced First Team Manager. The Club is actively seeking ambitious applicants to lead and build on our success and further develop our players for greater achievements.
"The successful candidate will be responsible for team selection, co-ordinating training and attracting new players to the club. We play in the FAWPL, matches are played on Sunday afternoons and we train two evenings per week. The Manager must be a committed person who is able to manage a team of young ladies who love football."
