Winston Reid believes his West Ham United team can continue to improve over the final six games of the Barclays Premier League season.
An impressive haul of 22 points from their last 12 league outings has hauled the Hammers away from the bottom three to the comfort of mid-table and the Hammers now sit just nine points behind their tally of last year.
Reid has that in his mind as a target, and he would love to inch closer to that by denting Liverpool's title bid on Sunday.
"I think we can play freely on Sunday," the No2 said. "Liverpool are hunting for the title so a lot of the pressure is on them.
"Nobody is going to expect us to go out there and get something from the game, but I'm sure we'll put in a good performance.
"It's going to be a tough game, we all know that, but we've been getting good results in the last couple of games, so hopefully that can continue.
"There's still stuff we can improve on and that's what we want to do between now and the end of the season."
Andy Carroll will be out to impress against his former club and, possessing first-hand experience of trying to handle the big No9 in training, Reid knows the Reds' defenders will be in for a tough task.
He added: "Andy could make the difference, he's our main striker and he's done well for the team since he's come back.
"He's scored a couple of goals too, so hopefully he can get another on Sunday. For him, it would be nice personally to play against his old team.
"He's better with his feet than people give him credit for. He's clever with his movement and he's really good in the box - he always gets away from defenders and unfortunately enough in training I sometimes have to pick him up, so I've got experience of that!"
