Matthias Fanimo played the whole match as England Under-17s made it two wins from two at the Nordic International Tournament by beating Denmark 2-0 on Wednesday.
The West Ham United midfielder had been a substitute in the previous day's 5-0 defeat of hosts Finland, a match which marked his debut at this international group. Fresh from last season's Under-16 success in the Victory Shield, Fanimo played a full part in the second Group A win, which has set up the chance to make it three wins from three against Iceland on Friday.
Depending on results, England will then face a final game against either Sweden, Scotland, Faroe Islands or Norway on Sunday.
The annual FA International Tournament takes place in a fortnight when Australia, Turkey and Portugal arrive before the UEFA U17 EURO qualifying campaign begins in October, ahead of the summer finals next year when the Young Lions will defend the title that Robert Hall helped them to win this May.
* No West Ham United players have been named in Stuart Pearce's Under-21 squad to face Uzbekistan in a friendly next Tuesday at Bristol City's Ashton Gate. The match will be a warm-up for the crucial 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Portugal and Lithuania next month, when James Tomkins, Junior Stanislas and Freddie Sears will hope to return to contention.
The England senior squad to face Hungary in a friendly at Wembley next Wednesday will be named on Saturday night.
