Kurucz finalises his move

West Ham United can confirm the signing of Hungary Under-21 goalkeeper Peter Kurucz on loan from Ujpest until the end of the season with a view to a possible permanent transfer.

Kurucz, who will be 21 in May, signed for the club before the transfer window closed but international clearance only came through on Monday. He joins a strong contingent of goalkeepers at the club including Robert Green, Jan Lastuvka and Marek Stech as well as reserve-team keeper Adam Street, a Canadian youth international.

The 6'4 shot-stopper, who had spent part of last season on loan at Hungarian second division club Tatabanya, was at the Boleyn Ground for Sunday's match against Manchester United before starting training this week at Chadwell Heath. He becomes the second Hungarian at the club with Under-19 international striker Balint Bajner already a fixture in the club's Academy this season.
