Team News: Alan Pardew will definitely be
without Matthew Etherington (ankle) and Dean Ashton (hamstring) for
the visit of Spurs, while Hayden Mullins serves the second of his
three-match ban. Anton Ferdinand and James Collins are hoping to be
available after missing the 1-0 win at West Brom last Monday, while
Paul Konchesky could also be in line for a return to the starting
line-up.
Tottenham, meanwhile, have injury worries of their own, with Ledley
King, Paul Stalteri and Jermaine Jenas definitely out, and Robbie
Keane, Mido and former Hammer Michael Carrick all seriously
doubtful.
Referee: Chris Foy (Merseyside)
Previous meetings: Tottenham Hotspur visit Upton
Park today for the first time since March 1, 2003, when goals from
Les Ferdinand and Michael Carrick - players who have appeared for
both clubs - earned the Hammers a 2-0 victory during our ultimately
unsuccessful battle against relegation.
