WHEN assistant kit manager, Pete Williams, appealed for Easter Eggs
to distribute to a local children's hospital and hospice, he
was amazed at the rapid response from the all the players and staff
at the Club's training ground.
Within a couple of days over 80 were brought in and added to the
ever growing egg mountain outside the boot room at Chadwell Heath.
Today Don Hutchison, Chris Cohen, Trent McClenahan and Elliott Ward
were among the players and staff who accompanied Pete to Haven
House Children's Hospice and Basildon Hospital.
"The response from everyone was magnificent," said Pete
Williams. "The eggs will help to brighten up the kids who have
to spend Easter in hospital. This is one of the nicer sides of
football that makes our club so special."
