ALAN Pardew has no fresh injury worries ahead of tonight's
clash with Burnley at Turf Moor.
The squad remained together in the North West after the 2-1 win at
Wigan to prepare for tonight's game, running a two-day training
camp just outside Manchester.
Malky Mackay is still two weeks away from fitness with a calf
injury, while Steve Lomas, Christian Dailly and Sergei Rebrov are
all nursing similar calf problems.
Teddy Sheringham came through Saturday's game unscathed and is
in line to start at Burnley, while Matty Etherington has fully
recovered from a jarred knee.
Alan Pardew said of the Clarets: "They're a strong side
and they'll go into tonight's game off the back of a good
result at home to Watford at the weekend.
"Burnley certainly won't make it easy for us and we can
expect them to compete for everything and give very little away.
"But we're in pretty good shape as well. The win at Wigan
has given us a big lift and its confidence we'll certainly take
into the Burnley game.
"This is another vital match, but if we can show the same
application and play some of the same football that we did at Wigan
then there's no reason why we can't head back to London
with a very good points total from these two games."
The team to face Burnley will be chosen from the following squad:
Bywater (GK), Walker (GK), Etherington, Mullins, Powell, Cohen,
Reo-Coker, Chadwick, Williams, Repka, Fletcher, Ferdinand,
Harewood, Zamora, Sheringham, Newton, Noble, Ward, Ephraim,
Brevett.
Burnley v West Ham United at Turf Moor, kick-off 7.45pm.
