Rufus' Rally Cry

Rufus Brevett reckons it is time to put a run of wins together to motor up the league.

"It is touch and go but you never give up hope, and I think we have not really had a run, as such, where we have had consistent wins on the spin," he insists.

"I think if we can put four or five wins together you never know what can happen in this league.

"If you look at the points we have dropped at home, if we had picked up half of them we would probably be in the top three places.

"But it is not the case, and credit to the boys when the home form has been so bad that we have still got a chance.

"It just shows how hard the lads are working and I know that everyone is pulling together.

"The manager has come in and set his mark on the club which is only a good thing.

"He has brought in some good players and the fans are still turning up in droves.

"The fans are unbelievable and we have got a chance to repay them and get back up where we belong."

Rufus, still in rehab but making good progress, adds:

"I was away for a few weeks and when I came back I didn't know anyone!

"They are a great bunch of lads - I obviously know Andy Melville and Jon Harley from Fulham - and there is a good spirit at the club at the moment."

Speaking ahead of the trip to Millwall, he adds:

"It is a massive game and a good one.

"We have hit a bit of form, though there was the setback against Sunderland, especially at home as well.

"We have been very good away from home anyway and I am looking for a positive result on Sunday."
