Young central defender Elliot was tipped to make a breakthrough into the first team squad this season but a back injury which required an operation put paid to that.
Elliot played for half a game in the U19s' final match of the season against Chelsea at the weekend.
Also facing the Dons are Steve Lomas and Don Hutchison, the latter of whom made his first team return as a substitute at Reading on Saturday.
Anton Ferdinand returns to action after a hamstring problem.

Incidentally, Neil Mellor, who cut short his year-long loan spell at West Ham recently, returned to action with four goals for Liverpool against West Brom's reserves this week.
