Tottenham's second half capitulation against Fulham in midweek wrecked their chances of moving back on top of the Premiership table and left coach Glenn Hoddle fuming at his players' lack of resilience.
Unfortunately for Spurs, they have little time to regroup before they face yet another London derby, with West Ham the visitors to White Hart Lane on Sunday. But although Hoddle's men were dealt a body blow in midweek, if anything, it is the Hammers who go into this match needing a confidence booster.

Manager Glenn Roeder saw his side lose their second home match of the 2001-02 campaign against newly promoted relegation favourites West Brom on Wednesday and having now taken just one point from four games, the Hammers are rock bottom of the Premiership.
West Ham's major problem this term seems to have been converting their chances rather than any lack of creativity. Indeed, against West Brom Roeder's team were inspired by the inventiveness of Joe Cole and the returning Paolo di Canio and created 19 goalscoring opportunities for themselves, but could not find a way though.
This means that since the start of the new campaign, the Hammers have scored just two of their 50 shots, giving them a 4% chance conversion rate - the lowest figure in the Premiership.
By comparison, Tottenham have been relatively competent up front, scoring with 15% of their shots - the fifth-highest proportion in the league. And with Robbie Keane still to make his bow for the club, their effectiveness as an attacking force could still improve further as the season goes on.
However, serious questions must be asked about Spurs' overall quality. Although they remain second in the table, Hoddle's side have not dominated possession against the teams they have beaten and their inability to hold on to the ball was a major factor in allowing Fulham back into the game in midweek. Indeed, Tottenham have been accurate with just 70% of their passes this term and only five sides in the top flight have an inferior record to that.
Both Hoddle and Roeder feel that their respective club's fans have yet to see the best that their team has to offer this term. But with both managers looking for more resilience from their sides in the future, this is more likely to be a full-blooded derby game than an exhibition of fantasy football. The Hammers have not beaten their north London rivals in any of the past six meetings, but with Spurs hardly at their most confident this game should provide a good opportunity to end that run.
