Glenn Roeder has denied suggestions that he is going to make a move
for Lille's central defender Pascal Cygan.
"I know there have been reports of Pascal Cygan again because people somehow found out that I covered the Lille v Deportivo game," he says.
"But Lille have got several good players, just as Deportivo have, so a few of those have gone into the notebook and we will be assessing the situation in the next couple of weeks."
As for the Blackburn game, he says he wants the players to banish the memory of the last two away trips which both ended in defeat.
"We must always be optimistic," he says, "you always have to believe you are going to win your next game.
"We need a good away performance and even more importantly, a good away result.
"There are no fresh injuries which is crucial when you operate with such a small senior squad, although Rigobert Song has had an ankle injury and will be out for a week or 10 days.
"There were no excuses for the way we capitulated in the second half at Everton."
