Anna Csiki | Career In Pictures

Anna Csiki has made the move to east London. She’s a Hammer.

The midfielder has joined the Club on a season-long loan, having signed from fellow Barclays Women’s Super League side Tottenham Hotspur.

After playing football with boys for seven years from the age of five, Csiki’s career started at Ferencváros in her native Hungary at the age of 13.

After making her first-team debut aged 15, the midfielder spent eight years at the Budapest-based club and won an abundance of silverware - lifting the Női NB I, Hungary’s top-flight, title twice, as well as the Women’s Cup on three occasions.

During her time at Ferencváros, Csiki earned her debut for Hungary, having previously represented her country at U17 and U19 level.

In search of a new challenge, in 2020 Csiki departed her home nation to ply her trade in Sweden for BK Häcken FF, where she played alongside former women’s team midfielder Marika Bergman Lundin.

The 25-year-old made 89 appearances for the Swedish outfit, including matches in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and scored on nine occasions.

Departing Häcken for a chance to play in the WSL, Csiki made the move to Spurs last summer and went on to play for them 13 times across all competitions, becoming the first Hungarian to play in the division.

In January, Csiki won her country’s first-ever Women’s Ballon d’Or, having been selected by a panel of leading editors.

Now, Csiki will wear the Claret and Blue of West Ham as she embarks on another campaign in England’s top flight.
