Adobe Women's FA Cup fourth-round draw - All You Need To Know

West Ham United women’s team will learn their Adobe Women’s FA Cup fourth-round opponents when the draw is made on Tuesday 12 December.

The Hammers are one of 32 clubs whose name will be pulled out of the hat when the draw takes place live on Instagram from 9.30am.

Former West Ham captain Gilly Flaherty, who led the Irons to the 2019 Women’s FA Cup final, will join host Flo Lloyd Hughes for the draw in an exciting collaboration between the FA and the Counter Pressed podcast.

Ties will take place on Sunday 14 January, with fourth-round winners collecting £54,000 from the competition prize fund.

As mentioned, West Ham reached the final in 2019 at the end of the team’s first season as full-time professionals. Despite a strong performance from Flaherty and her teammates, the Hammers were defeated 3-0 by Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.

The Irons reached the fifth round last season, defeating Wolverhampton Wanderers before being eliminated by Aston Villa in a penalty shootout.

When will the fourth-round draw take place?

The Adobe Women’s FA Cup fourth-round draw will be held on Tuesday 12 December from 9.30am and will be broadcast live on the official @AdobeWomensFACup Instagram channel.

We will be carrying news of the draw right here on whufc.com and our official app, as well as our @westhamwomen account on X.

What ball number will we be?

Number 12.

So, who could we play against?

It is an open draw, so West Ham United could draw one of their eleven Barclays Women’s Super League rivals, or one of the 20 other clubs in the hat.

That means the Irons could face one of the giants of the women’s game, including holders Chelsea or 2022 runners-up Manchester City.

Local rivals London City Lionesses, who defeated Billericay Town 6-0 in the third round, are also in the hat, as are fourth-tier The FA Women's National League Division One South West side Moneyfields FC, who are the lowest-ranked side left in the competition and defeated Millwall Ladies to reach this stage.
