Academy Internationals | Landers selected by Scotland for UEFA Euro U19 qualifiers

West Ham United Academy forward Josh Landers has been called up to Scotland’s U19s squad for three UEFA European U19 qualifiers this November.

The 18-year-old striker has seven goal contributions in seven starts for our U21s this season, his first campaign at development level having joined our U18s from Hibernian in January. This form has also translated to international duty where Landers has found the back of the net five times in five games for Scotland U19s so far this season.

Those five friendly fixtures in the previous two international breaks have all been gearing up to this November’s U19 European qualifiers, where Neil MacFarlane’s young Scots have been drawn in Group 8.

They will face Latvia on Wednesday 12 November (10am), Lithuania on Saturday 15 November (4pm), before a potential meeting against West Ham teammate Airidas Golambeckis and England on Tuesday 18 November (10am). All three games will take place in the Lithuanian town of Raudondvaris.

The top two teams in each group as well as the best third-placed team will join top seeds Spain in the elite round draw on 10 December. The elite round in spring 2026 will produce the seven nations joining hosts Wales in the finals scheduled from 28 June to 11 July.
