Junior Supporters' Board hold first meeting of 2023/24
The West Ham United Junior Supporters' Board (JSB) held its inaugural meeting of the 2023/24 season at London Stadium on Sunday 12 November, ahead of the Hammers' Premier League match against Nottingham Forest.
The JSB has been created to enable young Hammers fans between the ages of 11 and 16, to have their say on all things West Ham United and to build a unique and strong communication between the Club and junior supporters, for the benefit of all supporters across the fanbase.
During the meeting, members met their fellow fan representatives for the first time to discuss the new JSB model and topics ranging from fan engagement, ticketing and operations on matchday.
Ten young Season Ticket Holders attended an action-packed day with senior Club staff. The day began in the Boleyn Social hospitality lounge, where members were given their official JSB branded polo shirts and official executive notebook and pen to kick-off the first meeting. Members then introduced themselves with their name, age and favourite West Ham United memory.
The Club delivered a presentation to the JSB, including the aims of the group, itinerary for the day and exciting upcoming projects. Members then worked together to create the new JSB badge and flag, which will feature in the West Stand in the coming weeks. The Club also discussed topics raised by JSB members ahead of the meeting, with all feedback and actions noted in the meeting minutes. The Club is developing a new section on whufc.com where all JSB information will be hosted.
The next meeting of the JSB will be held at the start of 2024 and we look forward to continuing our work with the JSB, using their feedback to provide the best experience for our junior supporters.
