Ffion Morgan

Internationals | Morgan receives Wales call-up for October friendlies

West Ham United women’s team winger Ffion Morgan has been called up to Wales’ squad for their pair of friendlies over the October international break.

This will be the first time the 25-year-old has been with her Wales teammates since their historic UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 campaign, which was her country’s first-ever appearance at a major international tournament.

Our No23, who signed for the Hammers in July after departing Barclays Women's Super League 2 side Bristol City, featured in all three of Wales’ Group D fixtures and enjoyed a summer she will remember for the rest of her life.

Indeed, Wales' attentions now turn to October’s international fixtures and Morgan will face a fellow West Ham international in both games.

First, she will play against Katrina Gorry’s Australia at 2pm BST on Saturday 25 October at Cardiff City Stadium in the Welsh capital, before a home clash at Rodney Parade, Newport, against Kinga Szemik’s Poland on Tuesday 28 October, which kicks off at 7.45pm GMT.

Forty-six-times-capped international Morgan has started our previous four matches across all competitions, and scored her first Hammers goal against Charlton Athletic in the Subway® Women's League Cup in September.
