On This Day: Diafra Sakho strikes as West Ham beat Queens Park Rangers

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, presented by Heineken...

West Ham climbed to seventh in the Premier League table as an own-goal by Nedum Onuoha and Diafra Sakho's header left Queens Park Rangers stuck in the relegation zone on this day in 2014.

The Hammers went ahead when Stewart Downing's corner struck the knee of Onuoha, standing on the edge of the six-yard box, and rolled past a stranded Robert Green.

Charlie Austin fired wide from substitute Bobby Zamora's cross for Harry Redknapp's visitors before Senegal striker Sakho headed the second from James Tomkins' cross to complete a 2-0 victory at the Boleyn Ground.
