Manuel Lanzini receives FIFA 21 ‘Team of the Season Moments’ Ultimate Team upgrade


West Ham United’s Manuel Lanzini is the recipient of a newly-released top-tier Ultimate Team card in EA SPORTS’ FIFA 21.

The Argentine maestro’s sensational injury-time Goal of the Season contender against Tottenham Hotspur in October has seen the midfielder rewarded with a ‘Team of the Season Moments’ card in the popular online football gaming mode.

‘TOTS Moments Lanzini’ boosts Lanzini’s overall rating out of 100 in the game from a mid-tier 78 to a world-class 93, and is the joint-highest rated Ultimate Team card for any serving West Ham player in history.

To acquire the card, Ultimate Team players must achieve five tough objectives in Live FUT Friendly: World Beaters mode.

These include scoring three goals from outside the box using players with four-star skill moves; assisting four goals using Argentinian players; scoring 20 goals overall; winning six matches overall; and scoring using Premier League players in 13 separate matches.

The reward is a Central Attacking Midfielder card – applicable across many formations and play styles – featuring 93 pace, 93 shooting, 92 passing, 93 dribbling and a considerable 83 physicality.

Lanzini’s TOTS Moments card also has a comprehensive skillset, including maximum or near-maximum ratings in attributes including long shots (99), shot power (98), acceleration (95), sprint speed (91), balance (99), short passing (94), vision (92), long passing (91), dribbling (93), agility (94) and stamina (94).

As a result, many FIFA players are hailing it as one of the greatest objectives rewards ever seen in the game.

The objectives set went live within the Ultimate Team game zone on 6pm BST on Friday 4 June, with the card only unlockable until 6pm on Thursday 10 June.

The release marks an incredible 14th ‘special’ FIFA card released for a West Ham United player in FIFA 21, after eleven Team of the Week nominations, a Player of the Month card for Jesse Lingard and a Premier League Team of the Season card for Tomáš Souček.
