On This Day: Slater slips West Ham past Nottingham Forest

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with RoadX Tyres...

Robbie Slater's 19th minute strike was enough to seal all three points against Nottingham Forest on this day in 1996.

A debut appearance in Claret and Blue was handed to loan signing Dani in the second half, the winger who made the short term switch from Sporting Lisbon, scored the winner against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane just nine days later.

The victory against Forest was the second in a run of five straight league wins for Harry Redknapp's side, who finished the season in 10th place.
