On This Day: Kevin Nolan returns to haunt Newcastle United

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with RoadX Tyres...

West Ham United scored a 1-0 Premier League win at Newcastle United on this day in 2012!

Sam Allardyce returned to St James' Park alongside former Newcastle captain Kevin Nolan, who scored the winning goal when he ghosted in at the far post to turn in Joey O'Brien's mis-hit shot.

At the other end, the Magpies went closest through former West Ham striker Demba Ba, who was denied by Jussi Jaaskelainen, condemning ex-Hammers manager Alan Pardew's side to defeat.

Victory took the newly-promoted Irons onto 18 points from their opening eleven matches.
