On This Day: West Ham complete extra-time win over Stoke

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with RoadX Tyres...

West Ham United came from a goal down to complete a thrilling extra-time Carling Cup fourth-round victory over Stoke City on this day in 2010!

The Hammers fell behind as early as the sixth minute, when Kenwyne Jones headed Jermaine Pennant's corner past young goalkeeper Marek Stech.

And it looked like Avram Grant's side's run was over until Scott Parker sent the game into extra-time when he converted Pablo Barrera's cross with just six minutes of normal time to play.

The Irons then took charge in the extra 30 minutes, with Mark Noble skipping through the Stoke defence before setting up Manuel da Costa to put the hosts in front.

Substitute Victor Obinna then latched onto Noble's pass to complete the scoring with two minutes remaining to complete a fine comeback under the Boleyn Ground floodlights.
