On This Day: Cole and Bellamy tame the Black Cats

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with RoadX Tyres...

Carlton Cole was among the scorers as West Ham United beat Sunderland 3-1 at the Boleyn Ground on this day in 2007.

The striker headed George McCartney's cross past Craig Gordon on nine minutes to give the Hammers a half-time lead.

Kenwyne Jones levelled for the Black Cats seven minutes after the break, but the Irons would not be denied as a Nolberto Solano shot hit the post and bounced into the net off Gordon's right foot with 12 minutes to play.

And West Ham ensured Roy Keane's team would leave east London empty-handed when Luis Boa Morte crossed for Craig Bellamy to complete the scoring in the final minute.
