West Ham United Women partner with Nuffield Health

The Club is pleased to announce Nuffield Health as an Official Supplier of West Ham United Women.

Nuffield Health is the UK’s largest healthcare charity. Driven by their purpose to build a healthier nation, the charity boasts an industry-leading network of 37 hospitals, 114 fitness and wellbeing centres, medical centres, and workplace wellbeing facilities, providing a wide range of health services and superb gym facilities.

Its connected health approach supports wellbeing from all aspects in life, incorporating physical and mental health, from preventative through to treatment, including mental health support or hospital care and treatment to personal training, health assessments, GP services and physiotherapy.

As part of the relationship, West Ham United Women’s players, coaches and backroom staff will have access to Nuffield Health’s top-of-the line facilities to aid strength, conditioning, and rehabilitation.

West Ham United Chief Commercial Officer Nathan Thompson said: “We are delighted to announce this partnership between West Ham United Women and Nuffield Health.

“Nuffield Health share our dedication to achieving high-performance and overall well-being, making this partnership a perfect match. Their state-of-the-art facilities will further enable our players to reach their peak performance potential.”

Neil Jackson, National Director of Wellbeing and Fitness at Nuffield Health, said: “The barriers women and girls are facing when it comes to sport and fitness, compared with men, is significant. Despite the Lionesses’ legacy, our owned research showed that just 12 per cent of teenage girls planned on playing sport last summer – and this statistic needs to change.

“West Ham United Women are playing such an important role in inspiring the next generation to get fit, active, and live a healthier life. This is why we are excited to be joining forces, offering our industry-leading facilities to aid them in their strive for excellence and, hopefully, encourage the next generation to get involved.”

Craig Hughes, General Manager of Nuffield Health’s Romford Fitness and Wellbeing Centre, said: “We are delighted to be supporting West Ham United Women at our Romford Fitness and Wellbeing Centre. Having established a relationship with Dagenham & Redbridge – whose ground West Ham United Women play at – this partnership ties us closer to the area and community to support elite sporting talent.”
