Head Coach Nuno Espírito Santo says Dinos Mavropanos has undergone a scan as the Club further assesses the extent of his injury sustained in Monday night's home defeat to Brentford.
The Greek defender was forced off during the closing stages at London Stadium, having been introduced as a half-time substitute, and has subsequently been ruled out for our trip to Leeds United on Friday night.
When asked for an update on our No15 during his pre-match press conference on Wednesday afternoon, Nuno said: “Yeah, he (Mavropanos) is injured, he came off. Now he's doing a scan to see the real injury that he has.
“I cannot answer exactly how long he's going to be out. For sure, this game is not an option for us, unfortunately.”
Forward Niclas Füllkrug and young midfielder George Earthy both missed the visit of the Bees, and continue to work towards their return.
Meanwhile, Czechia international midfielder Tomáš Souček could make his 200th Premier League appearance if he features against the Whites, under the lights.
Nuno’s starting XI will be confirmed 75 minutes before Friday’s 8pm kick-off here on whufc.com and our official app!
