Rice receives 'FUT Birthday' card

Declan Rice has become the recipient of West Ham United’s next Special ‘FUT Birthday’ card in EA SPORTS’ FIFA 22 - and it's quite the virtual player!

Having seen his close friend Ryan Fredericks recently awarded a 'FUT Birthday' card in a Squad-Building Challenge - now no longer available - England international Rice's most powerful version yet is now available via another SBC, entitled 'Rice, Rice, Baby', until 6pm GMT on Thursday 24 March.

The 'FUT Birthday' promotion celebrates the anniversary of FIFA’s Ultimate Team mode, in which players build their dream squads and compete online to rise through the divisions.

And having benefitted from two 'Special' cards earlier this season, Rice's in-game presence is now rated a spectacular 90 out of 100 overall - a huge boost from his 82 at the start of the season.

Indeed, the influential Iron now has a card which fulfils the criteria for the FIFA community's famous 'Gullit Gang' - each of his six base stats come in at an 80 OVR or above - making him one of the Premier League's most well-rounded players!

Rice's defensive stats are boosted up to 90 (up from an initial 81); his physical to 88 (up from 79); his dribbling to 86 (up from 74); his passing to 86 (up from 71); his pace to 84 (up from 66); and shooting up to 80 (up from 53).

Rice has also been handed a huge skill moves upgrade, with the 23-year-old now showcasing a five-star skill rating alongside his three-star weak foot.

The twelfth ‘Special’ card for a West Ham player this season can be attained at relatively costly expense.

To acquire it, you'll need to trade in three highly-rated squads: an England-themed squad rated 83; a Premier League squad rated 86; and an 87-rated squad with no restrictions.
