What was the first album you bought?
“I have never bought an album, and to be honest, I’m not a massive music fan. I can listen to music, but I have never bought something such as an album.”
What’s one song you couldn’t live without?
“At the moment, I will go for Le Dehors by Bouss.”
What was the best live music performance you’ve ever seen?
“I’ve only watched one live music performance when I was young, which was Ninho (a French rapper from Paris of Congolese heritage). The music he played was called Destin, and it was in Toulouse. It was top!”
Have you ever had to perform an initiation song?
“I’ve done a few, but haven’t done one here at West Ham. The first one that I can remember was at Toulouse. It was my first moment with the first team, so there was a lot of pressure, and I was a bit shy and all that stuff, but I think it went well.”
What’s the best film or TV series you’ve ever watched?
“Game of Thrones. It’s not even questionable, as it’s the best ever.”
Which actor would best portray you in a film about your life and career?
“I’m going to say Denzel Washington, as after Jason Statham, he’s my favourite actor. I love all the films that feature Washington.”
Do you have a TV guilty pleasure?
“I don’t watch a lot of TV, although I always used to watch Téléfoot (a football highlights show similar to Match of the Day) when I was growing up in France.”
Do you have a favourite book or author?
“I love manga (Japanese comics). My favourite manga is Kingdom.”
What three phone apps couldn’t you live without?
“I need WhatsApp to talk with people, and I also would say Snapchat and X.”
What was the first games console and video game you owned?
“I think it was a PlayStation 2, and the game I always used to play was called Rayman 2: The Great Escape. My favourite video game ever is NBA 2K.”
